Title: The Euler equations - a geometric approach

Abstract: The Euler equations of hydrodynamics, introduced by Leonhard Euler in 1752, are among the first PDEs which were published. Despite this many of its aspects are still not understood. Vladimir Arnold formulated these equations as a geodesic flow on an infinite dimensional Lie group. We show how this approach can be used to get a regularity result for the solution map of various PDEs.
